The St Kilda West apartment renovation was a carefully considered transformation of an existing inner-city home, focused on elevating both functionality and materiality while maintaining a refined, timeless aesthetic.

The project involved a complete redesign of the kitchen and a full bathroom makeover, reworking the layout and detailing to better suit contemporary living while maximising the apartment’s natural light and sense of space.

At the heart of the design is a striking blue natural stone supplied by CDK Stone, used as a feature element to bring depth, character, and a sense of quiet luxury to the interiors. The stone’s rich tonal variation becomes a focal point within the home, adding both visual drama and enduring sophistication.

The new kitchen was designed as a highly functional yet sculptural space, balancing clean architectural lines with tactile, natural materials. In the bathroom, the palette was refined and cohesive, creating a calm, spa-like retreat that feels both elevated and timeless.

Throughout the project, every detail — from material selection to joinery proportions — was carefully considered to ensure the renovation feels effortless, cohesive, and beautifully resolved, transforming the apartment into a refined, design-led inner-city sanctuary.
